It's been quite some time since I have sat on the porch watching Wendell graze! Maybe I need to go give him a few carrots... I think he'd enjoy that.

Questions
  1. What is your favorite time of day to read? If you don't enjoy reading, then what is your favorite time to watch TV/movies?
  2. Did you watch the Super Bowl? If so, what was your favorite commercial? If you didn't watch it, what did you do Sunday night?
  3. Have you been watching Downton Abbey?Who's your favorite character? If not, have you seen any interesting TV or movies series lately?
  4. Do you enjoy home parties for selling items? (like Pampered Chef, Southern Living, Mary Kay)
  5. Please finish this sentence. If I work very hard, I can__________________.
My answers:
  1. I love to read when I am nannying.  The little boy takes naps, and while the tv doesn't wake him up, he definitely takes longer naps when the house is quietest.  So I spend that time reading.
  2. I did watch the super bowl! I'm from the bay area, I love the niners.  They played a wonderful game, even though the other team won, I have no complaints. My favorite commercial was the clydesdale one, of course.  Followed by the Ram truck one.  I thought it was really classy of Ram.
  3.  I watched some of the first season and couldn't really get into it.  With that being said, I was really sick at the time and kept falling asleep and never watched the episodes fully, so I think that if I were to try again I would enjoy it more.
  4. I have never been to one, but I think that I would be sucked into wanting to spend the money when I really didn't need to!
  5. If I work very hard, I can lose the weight I've put on in the last few months! I am not overweight, or fat.  But currently, I am about 20 pounds over what my 'happy' weight is.  I carry my weight well, and most people barely notice that I've gained, but I have.  My clothes dont fit, and I am all over miserable about it.

  1. Wendell says thanks for the carrots. I agree that the Ram commercial was classy. Unlike the GoDaddy commercial- pass the barf bag, please. It's so easy to put on extra pounds over the winter. I have been baking more and it doesn't help. Have a great week!

    1. I was happy to see that more of the commercials were geared towards funny, rather than sexual as it has been for too many superbowls. But there were definitely a few really untasteful ones in there, including the godaddy one!

  2. I loved the Ram commercial as well! It was wonderful. Excited for you and the horse experience. I am in KY, where horses are bigger than football!

  4. I loved the Ram commercial. My aunt use to breed Morgan horses. I really miss being around them. Perhaps someday I'll own one again. Enjoy your horses. I look forward to reading more on your horse journey.

    1. Thanks for stopping by! Morgans are so much fun! I love how regal they look, and thats just their natural stance, with the high head and the big thick necks!

  5. I enjoyed poking around on your blog. The trail you rode on is gorgeous!
My son, who lives in SF, introduced me to Downton Abbey. He kinda insisted that I watch. The first time through the first show of the first season I couldn't get into it at all. I made him show it again, and then I found out I enjoyed it. My problem is that I don't 'watch' TV. I read, or type or do other things instead. I can't do that with Downton Abbey!

    1. I think thats my problem too!!

Even when I sit down to watch tv shows, I am often reading, or blogging, or crocheting (the first time I wrote crotcheting....I didn't want to give you that mental picture, whatever crotcheting could mean!) And it definitely is something that you have to sit down and focus on!

I'm so lucky where I live, we have pretty much rolling hills, everywhere. So while there are a lot of up and down trails, they aren't scary mountain trails!

    1. Thanks! Winter is rough for weight gain!

Being a nanny is a lot of fun, but also very challenging! I've been working with kids since I was 12, so it seemed like the most obvious choice of work during my college years!

  8. 1. Any time is my favorite time to read, but usually ends up only being when I am sick. Sometimes at night while the boys watch TV though.
2.I did watch the super bowl, I like football, and although I am I diehard Cowboys fan, I love Ray Lewis too, and really wanted to see him win. As far as the comercials...Go Daddy was the worst (UGH) And the Paul Harvey Dodge commercial was the best. TC grew up as a farm boy, just as his dad before him. I swear he almost cried. (I did Cry) Of course the Budwieser one was good too.
3.I do not watch Down Town Abby. I'm stuck on Castle right now, and Suits.
    4. I'm not a big home party fan, although for the right product I might. If there was one for something like Cowboy Magic, I'd be there!
    5. If I work very hard I can...help my boy Trax over come his fears and shine in the competition ring, while learning how to be a better rider.
    5. (option b) If I work very hard, I can save up a enough money to buy my dream house in AZ.

    1. Agreed about the GoDaddy one, and the farmer one really was awesome! I have a lot of family in Missouri and i have seen how hard they work and how tough it is, and how little they gain, it is such a respectable life though, I was happy to see it portrayed like that.

They should definitely make at home parties for tack/gear/grooming etc! Hahah, or they know us too well because they know horse lovers don't have an excess to spend at those parties!

You definitely can help trax overcome his fears! It will be so much tougher because of his background, but it will mean so much more when you see how far you have gone!!
